5 Was To Stay FIT While You Travel
If you're a mover and shaker like myself, you're going to want to find ways to get that sweat in while you're abroad. Now, its not always easy. Moving or traveling to a new country comes with a completely new daily routine and sometimes, a lack of resources. While you may not be able to get to the nearest gym super duper quick, all you really need is a good pair of shoes and some motivation in order to participate in a killer workout. To inspire you to get moving, here are 5 ways to stay fit while you travel:
1. Pack a Jump Rope
Extremely inexpensive with impeccable results! 10 minutes of jumping rope had been said to be equivalent to 30 minutes of regular cardiovascular exercise. This, with the fact that you can pack the rope literally anywhere makes a quick, fun and easy workout!
2. Get Outside
Walking and running are the best remedy, and amazing for your mental health. They are also an amazing way to get familiar with your surroundings. Create an ultimate Spotify playlist or listen to your favourite Podcast or audiobook and get moving in the outdoors, rain, shine or snow!
3. YouTube Workouts
From Blogalities to body weight resistance workouts, YouTube has literally TONS of options to choose from to get your sweat on. The best thing about these workouts is that they can be achieved in the comforts of your new home or hotel room!
4. Join An Exercise Meetup Group
Meetup.com is an amazing way to meet people abroad. There is also a huge variety of fitness mettups in order to find your new workout soulmate. It is also a cool way to try sports or workouts you never have before.
5. Buy New Workout Apparel
Yes, unnecessary, but a great incentive if its an athletic brand your not familiar with. Bonus points for the brand not being extremely expensive and it will definitely motivate you to move your body and show your original workout style around your new city ;).
